This year, we’re continuing to invest in our technology to improve how we work together online and make it easier for you to support your inforce clients.
Our first 2025 release has just launched on the TAC, adding new features to TAL alteration quotes so you can now increase sums insured and add standalone cover.
With premium calculations presented in real-time and a user-friendly interface, TAC alteration quotes mean it’s faster and easier to help your clients explore their options and address affordability concerns if things change.
The tool is helping to create more efficient advice businesses too, so you can focus on what matters most: supporting your clients. Since we launched downgrade alteration quotes last year:
- The tool has been used over 10,000 times1
- Average turnaround time for simple quotes has reduced by 50%.2

NEW Increase sum insured (limitations apply to linked/Superlinked benefits – refer to the Tech Guide).

NEW Add standalone cover to an existing policy (excluding rider benefits (linked or attached), Superlinked benefit and Child Critical Illness).
- Decrease sum insured
- Reverse/decline indexation
- Change payment frequency
- Change waiting and benefit periods
- Change smoker status
- Change Income Protection benefit from Agreed Value to Indemnity
- Decrease sum insured on options such as the Retirement Protection Option and Disability Plus Option
- Cancel whole benefits or remove benefit options.
I like that you can see the premium updates in real-time so that you can play around with different sums insured/ options without having to download or save the quote.
