May is Ethics Month

At TAL Risk Academy, we know it can be difficult to find relevant content that advances your understanding of the Code of Ethics while meeting your Professionalism and Ethics CPD requirements.To give you easy access to quality ethics-focused CPD content, we’re dedicating the month of May to all things ethics.

Each week in May, we will host a live webinar, exploring a range of Professionalism and Ethics topics that will provide you with practical advice to assist you in complying with the Code. Our webinars are designed to expand on the values in the Code of Ethics and its incorporation in the provision of financial advice.

Our webinars will cover different topics, so you can pick and choose whichever interests you most or come along to all. Webinars will run from 11am–12pm (AEST) each Wednesday from 10 May till 31 May, and each session is accredited with 1 CPD hour. Full details are provided on our registration page.

Professional Year
We will be hosting an Ethical Dilemmas workshop for our Professional Year cohort on 2 May.
Facilitated by David Glen, TAL National Technical Manager, the interactive workshop provides participants with the opportunity to review actual client scenarios and discuss whether they are permitted under the Code of Ethics.

Advisers in their Professional Year must identify and present two ethical dilemmas in both quarters 3 and 4. This session will provide a framework to assist them with their mandatory requirement.

The Professional Year session will run from 11am–1pm (AEST) (2 structured training hours) on 2 May 2023.
