From our 5 million customers and their families, to our valued and enduring partnerships, TAL is focused on ensuring Australians are well supported and well protected.

TAL’s Our Contribution 2023/24 report outlines the work we are doing to support our customers, partners and stakeholders, and how we contribute as a life insurer, an employer, and part of the Australian community.

The report explores how we are delivering a faster, better experience for advisers and their clients. In FY23, we also upskilled our customer service team so they can provide existing customers with instant quotes and approve cover changes quickly. Also, 27% of payments are now being made outside of office hours through our new online payment platform.

TAL continues to support a stronger advice profession. For almost 10 years, TAL Risk Academy has provided market-leading education to advisers via virtual and face-to-face courses accredited by the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA). We’ve also supported thousands of advisers and their support staff with ongoing professional development, equivalent to more than 10,000 hours of learning via the TAL Risk Academy.

You can also read about the TAL Community Foundation and how we’re helping create positive experiences for our people and contributing to the communities in which we operate. In FY23, 14% of TAL’s people participated in a Foundation activity, volunteering 3,148 hours and contributing $816,083 in direct and in-kind contributions.
