Supporting a record number of advisers with TAL Risk Academy

Another year of education has seen TAL Risk Academy provide support to a record number of advisers and their staff, helping them navigate the education requirements in a changing industry.

As well as building their skills across an expanding range of topics from super and insurance advice, to ethics and business management solutions, advisers also took advantage of new initiatives to meet the education requirements as 1 January 2020 fast approaches.

TAL Risk Academy 2019

Outstanding feedback on our FASEA Exam Masterclass series

Our new FASEA Exam Masterclasses ran across the country with overwhelmingly positive feedback from advisers and the industry. Since July 2019, over 2,200 advisers have attended the sessions, which provided a practical approach on how to confidently prepare for the FASEA exam. If you have not already registered, more sessions are available in 2020, visit riskacademy.tal.com.au for details.

Helping you access University Pathways

To give advisers a head start in fulfilling their education requirements the TAL Risk Academy continued to provide the University Pathways program, which offers access to a variety of unit credits and discounts with our partners Charles Sturt University, Deakin University and the University of New England. New Ethics courses

The Solving your ethics dilemmas webinar saw record attendance as we helped advisers understand how ethics interacts with the risk advice process. This course received extremely positive feedback from advisers with a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. You can launch this course using our on-demand learning here.

Supporting the community

With support of Risk Academy alumni, this year we raised more than $208,000 through our Masterclass series for our charity partner, The Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN). ABCN is a not-for-profit organisation that connects businesses with disadvantaged children to improve their education through mentor and partnership programs. Thanks to all the attendees that helped us achieve this.

To everyone who has joined us at the TAL Risk Academy in 2019, thank you for your support, feedback and participation. We look forward to supporting the advice community again next year when we’ll bring even more new courses.
