Reviews of medical exclusions can now be done on a short form

To assist you and your clients retain their existing cover, the underwriting team has updated its approach to reviewing medical exclusions on in-force Accelerated Protection policies.

Rather than completing the Application for Increase or Alteration in full, a new short form is now available called Medical Exclusion Review – Short Form.

This will make it much quicker and easier for you and your clients to request reviews of medical exclusions.

The new form consists of only seven underwriting questions and is available through the Forms and Documents / Underwriting Questionnaires section of the TAL Adviser Centre. In addition, the specific health condition questionnaire should be completed as part of the review.

Reviews of medical loadings will still require completion of the Application for Increase or Alteration, as changes of health are taken into account when a loading is reviewed.

If you have any questions about these updates or need further support, please reach out to your local Business Development Manager
