TAL launches assistance package for flood and bushfire affected customers

From today, leading life insurance specialist, TAL, will be waiving insurance premiums for those affected by the floods in Queensland and the bushfires in Tasmania.

For customers located in the flood-affected areas of Queensland or bushfire-affected areas of Tasmania, the waiver will be available to existing TAL customers holding policies directly with TAL or through a financial adviser. TAL will also replace any lost policy documents for eligible customers.

Premiums will be waived for payments that are due from 1 February 2019 and eligible customers can apply for the waiver until 31st March 2019.  The premium waiver will apply for a period of up to two months.

TAL Chief Customer & Brand Officer, Alex Homer, said, “We understand that in these challenging circumstances, assistance like this can make a difference to our customers. Supporting the health and wellbeing of our customers is also a priority for us, and so beyond the financial assistance we’re providing, we’ve ensured that TAL’s customer facing teams are supporting customers as well as possible during this difficult time.

“This assistance package will ensure that our customers and their families can have some relief by maintaining the life insurance cover they need.

“We encourage our customers to contact TAL or their financial adviser to access the assistance package,” he said.
